Discussed elements of Medieval Romance from "The Day of Destiny," and the idealized character of the Romance or Arthurian Hero.

Briefly introduced the historical figures of Eleanor of Aquitaine and Henry II and their sons, and how their introduction of Arthurian stories may have assisted their political careers a a sort of pro-nobility propaganda.

Assigned four DEJ entries for each of them to be completed during the film version of The Lion in Winter: find places where their behavior contrasts with that of Arthurian chivalry.

Began watching the film.
